We love RC helicopters here such as the Picoz Micro RC Helicopter, and other variations. If you are a fan of RC helicopters and would like to build your own then check out the site linked below. It details the steps that one guy took to build his own helicopter. No doubt, you need to have some good skills to create one of these indoor beauties and no doubt if you are not skilled then you best dish out 30 quid and buy one already made.
What makes these small helicopters great is that they are not petrol engine helicopters. They are indoor RC (battery powered) helicopters. This means you can fly this around your living room and hopefully not break any of your mothers breakables.

No that is not the first remote controlled helicopter. helicopters were there before this one. this was just a guy that built one from scratch. he has a website. if you google it you will find his website easily on the first page.
this helicopter is a simple 4 channel helicopter that can only go up, down, left, and right.
This helicopter is also a fixed pitche which means that it can do any 3d tricks like the Trex 450
this guys design is very cool and well thought out. i dont understand why there isnt a link to the website. this is somebody else’s work.
if you want to get in to the hobby get on to a rc website like rcgroups.com there you can ask about which heli is the best and cheapest to buy, how to learn how to fly, and also you can talk to other members to get tips and ask questions.

This looks really cool, I will have to try and build one of these.
I reckon this helicopter is pretty good (for a fixed pitch) he’s used a CD-ROM Brushless motor to power the main rotor & twin ESC for the main & Tail Assembly, He has constructed the main body plate out of a fibre glass Prototype Circuit Board (PCB). He only has two servos which are a GWS model.

ben hui, the builder of that helicopter, is the man to be thanked a lot..
because, he is the only person (as i see) giving the widest information about making an rc helicopter on internet..i made my own helicopter after taking advantages of his site..his site is the best and the only one around the world..
but if you dont know about how to calculate what you need, all you can do is just to imitate what he did..
in order to create your own design, you need to know some formulas to calculate the things..for examle, the blades area and the rotor disk area are concerned with the weight..you must start from the weight..the weight of your helicopter is the lift force you need..for the lift you need, you must use some formulas..after some calculations, you find the rotor disk and blades areas needed…you must then know the head speed and tip speeds…and the needed pitch angles…then, you must calculate the main rotor torque..after that, you must calculate the anti-torque value for tail rotor..basing on this value, you must design the tail rotor…same calculations for the tail rotor..:d..
al lot of things to do after making the correct calculations…you should have mechanic, electronic, physics and maths background to do all these things to create your own heli..you can never make a different sized helicopter unless you know what i mentioned here..
second way to do it, you must begin from designing the main blades..you should calculate the maximum lift force that you can get from these bades..the lift you calculate is actually the max- weigth of your craft to be made..and etc….
but you can practise your skills by imitating the helicopter which ben hui made..

im making a helicopter for a science project. i have a 30k rpm motor that is a inch long an half an inch thick from K.M.O.O.E and another motor that is 26k rpm(motors stage 2 and 1). I’ve got the whole body parts down. im just wondering if u could swap the 26k rpm motor for a v9 ultra zip so it could ad more power through the back.
I suggest that i could hook both motors up to a psp or v-squad battery. Or make both independent. but i think that it would take to much weight. But then, could u add a cross to the propeller so that u get the xtra spin on take off? My last question is does this add to much weight? i think it doesn’t really, but then agin im not a helicopter xpert. All the help would be good, i really need ot make a good grade on this..
