New Sony Flexible OLED Screen Nuovo Sony schermo OLED flessibile

Sony have unveiled an OLED screen that is flexible. Sony ha presentato uno schermo OLED che è flessibile. OLED displays tend to be made out of a sealed glass which protects the materials inside from getting moisture on them which can basically kill them. Display OLED tendono ad essere costituita da un vetro sigillato che protegge i materiali all'interno di ottenere l'umidità su di essi che possono fondamentalmente ucciderli. Sony managed to create the screen on to a plastic which allows it to be thinner, lighter and bendable as seen in the image above. Sony è riuscita a creare lo schermo a una plastica che gli permette di essere più sottile, leggero e pieghevole come si è visto nella immagine sopra. The screen is a full colour display also. Lo schermo è un display a colori anche. The prototype is has a resolution of 120 x 169 with a .318 mm pixel pitch. Il prototipo ha una risoluzione di 120 x 169 con un millimetro ,318 pixel pitch. I do not have details on how quick the screen can update (refresh rate) but this is certainly interesting to see this kind of technology appearing. Non ho informazioni precise sulle modalità di schermo rapido possibile aggiornare (refresh rate), ma questo è certamente interessante vedere questo tipo di tecnologia che appare.
I look forwards to seeing technology like this and will be watching out for more to come from Sony on the OLED screen front. Io guardo avanti a vedere come questa tecnologia e sarà a guardare di più per venire da Sony sulla parte anteriore dello schermo OLED. Hopefully this will allow for even thinner screens that run a decent refresh rate and can be flexible (made smaller for traveling). Speriamo che questo permetterà anche schermi più sottili che esegue un dignitoso frequenza di aggiornamento e possono essere flessibile (fatta più piccolo per viaggiare).

Wow. That’s impressive. Questo è impressionante. I remember seeing something like this a few years ago in popular science or something. Mi ricordo di vedere qualcosa di simile a pochi anni fa, in popolare scienza o qualcosa del genere. I thought for sure this technology would have already been on the market. Ho pensato di sicuro questa tecnologia sarebbe già stato sul mercato.
There’s epaper which has been around for a while but still in early days. C'è Ecarta che è stata intorno per un po 'di tempo, ma ancora agli inizi del giorno. I think it was LG who managed to make colour ePaper just recently. Credo che sia stato LG che sono riusciti a rendere il colore ePaper solo di recente.
