I thought this video of space fits well in to “camera gadgets” as the Hubble Telescope is perhaps the most amazing camera ever created. A few years back a few scientists decided to look in to a dark region of space that looked to be the size of a grain of sand held at arms length. It was a risky move as the Hubble Telescopes time was in demand and taking 10 or so days out of it’s busy schedule to photograph nothing seemed too risky. However, they went ahead and captured the most amazing images of space ever taken before. 10,000 galaxies were found in that black region by using the Hubble Deep Field. It really does show how small our planet is in relation to it’s surroundings.
The image has now been converted in to 3D using a technique which measures the distance to each galaxy (explained in the video below). [Read more…]
Just this morning we wrote about how some new 
sWaP (Smart Watch and Phone) had their watch on display at Gadget Show Live and we had the chance to have a quick look at it. 
The Persistence of Vision (POV) Watch is a watch which creates the illusion of floating time while the wrist is swinging (such as when running). 
Hyundai are more known for cars and have surprised us by launching the MB-910. The MB-910 is a wristwatch phone that is tri-band and actually looks quite good. 
Orange have announced that they will be the first operator in Europe who will offer the LG910 Touch Watch Phone. 
This new watch is created by Timex and acts as more then your average watch. Built-in functions that can be found are an altimeter, barometer, thermometer, chronograph, alarm and compass.

This watch looks simply amazing. It is named the Astrolabe Watch and was designed after the original Astrolabe from many many years ago. The original Astrolabe was created back in 160BC and was used for something along the lines of calculating where stars and the sun is by using mathematics. This watch version is a slimmed down version of this device. 
The sWap Mobile Phone watch allows you to chuck away your old phone, keep your SIM card and still make phone calls. This watch allows for full communication between you and any other mobile phone, but rather then sticking it in your pocket when you have finished making a call, you simply leave it on your wrist.
