Three in the UK has launched The One Plan. The One Plan is described as being the simplest and most competitive tariff ever offered in the UK.
The One Plan offers a lot of free minutes, free texts and 1GB of data as well as more minutes for calls kept on the Three network.
For £25/month you get 2000 any network minutes, 5000 Three to Three minutes, 5000 texts and 1GB of data. There are no “unlimited” mentions here and you simply get a lot of everything (perhaps not data, but more than enough for the majority of peoples needs). [Read more…]
Google [GOOG] later on this year will be giving users the option of skipping over pre-roll ads on their videos. Pre-roll ads are the ones that play for 10 – 15 seconds before you watch the actual video. These in effect, will not be optional to view.

Apple [AAPL] announced yesterday that it had shifted 3 million Apple iPad’s in just 80 days. That’s an impressive number considering a few criticisms saying that people wouldn’t be interested in it.
The Jimmy Fallon show last night had the Microsoft Kinect being demonstrated. The Kinect is a new device from Microsoft [MSFT] that uses a camera system to track your body movements and basically use you as the controller.

Google TV comes in two forms, the first is a set top companion box that sits in-between your cable/satellite providers box and your TV and the second is Google TV built in to new TV’s The system allows you to watch what you want, when you want.
IBM has created a new app for the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and Android smartphones that brings augmented reality to the Wimbledon Tennis tournament.
One problem with 3D TV (other than the current high price of the screen) is that you need to wear glasses to get the 3D effect. Glasses are expensive (over $50 a pair), and there is no standard yet for glasses which means the specs used on one suppliers screen wont work on a screen from another company in some cases. Sony has released several new 3D TV’s. The new TVs use shutter glasses to bring the 3D effect in to the living room. Sony has opted to use proprietary high frame rate screens which can provide full HD 3D images.
We recently tested a Sony Vaio L All-in-One PC to see how it runs, how it performs and if it’s any good. To be honest, I’ve never really paid interest in the all-in-one style PCs so I didn’t really know what to expect.
