Jetyo isn’t a company I have particularly heard of before, but this new camcorder looked unique enough to give it a mention.

The device is powered by 4xAAA batteries, and when rechargeable AAA batteries are used the solar panels built in, can be used to recharge the device.

Nokia X6 Review

The Nokia X6 is a music phone that aims to join the touchscreen device area of phones that Apple, HTC and only a few others have managed to make happen well.

The phone it’s self looks to be a slider phone from when you first take it out of the box, but it’s actually not and just a touchscreen device with no stylus or physical keyboard. Reasons for believing it’s a slider is due to it being quite thick (13.8mm) which is a fair bit for a phone without a keyboard. Looks wise it looks quite sleek still even though a little fatter than most phones.

On the front of the device is a touchscreen that measures 3.2 inches. It is capacitive and has a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels which Nokia call nHD although of course, it’s no where near a HD screen in terms of pixels on the screen although it does look very clear when using the screen. Above that is a front facing camera that allows you to make video calls. Below the screen are three buttons which are send call, end call and menu. [Read more…]

WePad Tablet Pricing and Launch Details

We first mentioned the WePad a few weeks ago and from what we saw, we were quite impressed at the alleged specifications. The whole WePad device seems to revolve around doing things that the iPad cannot do. Features such as a camera have been included allowing for video calls to be made. An SD card slot has been included along with USB and the ability to multitask.

The WePad Tablet runs the Android operating system from Google [GOOG] and has access to the Android Marketplace to download applications.

Overall it looks quite impressive and we hope that the CPU and graphics chip are up to scratch making it run smoothly. Update: It has an Intel Atom N450 CPU and no NVIDIA although it does support full HD, so perhaps another quicker than Intel chip.

From what we hear there are a couple of versions with one being WiFi only costing ‚¬449. This will have 16GB of RAM. [Read more…]

Flip Slide HD Sold Early at Best Buy

Last week we came across leaked pics of the new Flip Slide HD camcorder built by Cisco that was spotted in a Best Buy store. From what we saw it appears to flip open to reveal a larger screen. Thanks to Best Buy selling the Slide HD early to one customer we now have the full picture on what the Flip Slide HD is and how it works.

The device actually just has 1 large touchscreen across the face of the device. When recording the screen is split in to two where the top side is taken by the screen and the bottom side has touchscreen controls. When sliding the Slide HD open, the full screen is then used for displaying videos that have just been captured. A slide control can then be found under where the screen flipped out from that allows you to slide through the video you have captured. [Read more…]
