Archos looks set to be launching another new Android based tablet. This time the tablet will be called the Archos 70 and will run the Android 2.2 operating system. The tablet has a 7 inch screen that has a resolution of 800 by 480 pixels.

MakerLegoBot Made of Lego, Prints Lego

The MakerLegoBot is a robot made of Lego that is capable of printing objects with Lego bricks.

The system was designed and built by the team at BattleBricks and uses Mindstorms NXT computer (three of them) to control the printer. A feed mechanism can be found attached to the side of the device that has the job of holding many bricks which are then grabbed as needed by the system. The bricks are then pushed in to the appropriate plans. The plans themselves are fed in to the NXTs via USB. [Read more…]

Sony Google TV Now Official

Sony has officially announced the new range of Sony TVs, powered by Google TV.

As expected, the new TVs come in several sizes which starts off with a 24 inch called the NSX-24GT1 priced at $599.99.

Next up is the 32 inch model called the NSX-32GT1 priced at $799.99 and then the 40 inch model NSX-40GT1 priced at $999.99 and finally on to the largest 46 inch model called the NSX-46GT1 priced at $1399.99. [Read more…]

A number of companies are trying to get Android based tablets launched on to the market. Some make it, some don’t. This next one aims to lower the price by introducing the tablet at just £179.99.

The tablet is called the disgo Tablet 6000 and has a 7 inch screen in a WVGA format. The OS running on the tablet is Android 2.1.

Super Talent has created the CKB USB flash drive that has been designed to attach to your keychain. The reason for creating it was due to the need to carry keys around with you when you leave your home. If a flash drive is attached to them, you’ll never forget to carry it around with you.

BlackBerry Tablet Announced as the PlayBook

RIM has announced the BlackBerry Tablet. Its real name is the PlayBook and all the details have been announced along with pictures of the device.

Technical spec wise, the PlayBook will run a Cortex A9 running at 1GHz. The CPU is dual-core. It will have 1GB of RAM. The screen measures 7 inches.

The operating system running on the PlayBook is QNX as expected. As for launch dates, it is expected in the US in the first quarter of 2011 and internationally it will arrive sometime in Q2. Prices have not yet been revealed. [Read more…]

WeTab Unboxing

The WeTab has finally started shipping. The Tablet device is an Atom based MeeGo slate and is available over in Germany with a price tag of 449 for the 16GB model and 669 for the 32GB model which also comes with GPS built in along with 3G/UMTS for connectivity.

The unboxing of course doesn’t go in to too much detail as its literally just an unboxing. It will be another day or two before we get to see what the WeTab is all about and if it will provide any competition to the Galaxy Tab and iPad.

The technical specs on the tablet show that it has an 11.6 inch screen that is capacitive touch. The Atom CPU is clocked at 1.6GHz. It has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. [Read more…]
