Little Big Planet 2 Delayed Until January 18th
For me, ‘Sackboy’ has become the new mascot for Sony’s PS3. He’s the star of the hugely successful Little Big Planet wherein you were pretty much free to do more or less anything you wanted and allowed you to fully customize you own sack boy (or girl) with a myriad of various costumes from Metal Gear Solid to Killzone 2, from Street Fighter to God of War or even create your own.

HTC Desire Android 2.2 Update Finally Lands for T-Mobile

Back in June we wrote a post that said that the HTC Desire may be getting itself the new Android 2.2 update around June time, but we did also say that this date was not set in stone… The SIM free update came just after, early in August. This was followed by the update for Vodafone users. Now that we’re in September, T-Mobile has finally started to push out the Android 2.2 update.
Quite why other mobile devices such as Sony Ericssons’ Xperia X10 are still left out of the loop is anyone’s guess and as soon as we here anything else we’ll let you know.
Playstation Move Now On Sale
Well its here, Sony’s much anticipated Playstation Move is now available. In an older post, we stated Move’s capabilities and potential.
If you shop at Amazon, $29.96 for the navigation controller, $49.99 for the Move controller, Camera at $32.82 and $99.99 for a starter pack which includes both controllers and a camera, seems pretty reasonable. [Read more…]
PS3 to recieve 3D Blu-ray support, Japan to get it first
During Sony’s press conference at the Tokyo Games Show, it was announced that it will finally release 3D Blu-ray support onto the PS3 from 21 September.

Halo: Reach, touchdown

With the arrival of Halo: Reach brings a huge smile to the faces of literally millions of fans, across 25 countries worldwide. Reach is a first-person shooter video game which was developed by Bungie and published by Microsoft Game Studios for the Xbox 360 console. Its more of a prequel as this is the 4th installment of the series but the setting is prior to that of Halo: Combat Evolved where, in the year 2552, the whole of humanity is locked in a war with the alien Covenant on the human colony of Reach weeks prior to the events of Halo: Combat Evolved. Next Gen PSP to get Touch-Sensitive Controls
Rumours are circulating about the next generation Sony PSP. The rumours say that the next version will be the same size as the PSP-3000 model and that it will have touch-sensitive controls on the back of the unit.
Rather than using traditional controls, it is expected that the touch panel located on the back will allow you to control the games.
The screen on the PSP 2 is said to be both rich and detailed although it isn’t clear if the screen will be larger with the controls moving to the back, or if the addition of both controls (ie, physical and touch sensitive) will be all included. [Read more…]
Microsoft Kinect Release Date UK – 10 November
Microsoft [MSFT] has announced that the release date for the Kinect will be November 10 here in the UK.
With Xbox arriving on Windows Phone 7 and Kinect going up against not only the dominant Wii, but also Sony’s forthcoming Move in the family gaming market, it’s going to be a critical time for Microsoft’s gaming division.
Price wise, the Kinect has been tagged at £129.99. [Read more…]
