PlayStation 4 will probably support 4K resolution

Many rumours about the PlayStation 4 are going around in preparation for a launch in the next year or two. The latest rumour comes from a source of BGR that says the PlayStation 4 will support resolutions up to 4K.

iPhone prototypes from 2006 revealed

The picture above shows prototypes of the iPhone. They were made around 2006 (a year before the iPhone launched). The one on the right looks more Nokia esq while the one on the left looks similar to what the iPhone 4S looks like now.

We are not sure why Apple went for the original iPhone (3G/3GS) design if they already had an iPhone 4/4S design available but we assume that it was related to the technology advances at the time not quite allowing the 4 to be thin enough to look good and retain a decent battery life. Hence, they went with the original iPhone design with the slightly bulging back on it to squeeze a battery in.

1.2 Million PlayStation Vita Units Sold

Sony has announced that the PlayStation Vita has now had sales move past the 1.2 million mark since launch. These figures represent worldwide and not just a single country.

Sony reached 1.2 million on February 22 when it went on sale in the US and Europe which means it is likely to be a fair bit higher now. As well as shifting over 1.2 million portable games consoles, Sony has also shifted over 2 million games for the device.

Motorola Fans Want Unlocked Bootloaders as Promised

Motorola fans appear to be getting a little frustrated with the company. Just like HTC and Sony Ericsson, Motorola had also promised fans that they would unlock bootloaders on Android devices by the end of 2011. This was subject to carrier approval. Unfortunately, not much seems to of happened with this and bootloaders are still locked in most cases. We will mention that some are unlocked, but not many.

Quantum Wipeout Race Track Promo Video

Just before Christmas a video was launched showing some Wipeout style vehicles moving around a track made of superconducting magnets. The video is great and really makes you wish it was real… unfortunately its not. Instead, it appears to be an advertisement from Sony about the new Wipeout game.

PS Vita Plays Sega Megadrive/Genesis Games

The Sony PlayStation Vita launched less than a month ago and already, someone has managed to get a Sega Megadrive/Genesis game running on it. Rather than the game being run on an emulator direct, the actual game is running on an emulator within an emulator… meaning that the game is running on the Genesis emulator which runs within the Vita PSP emulator.
