Sony Ericsson have released details on a new phone named the Sony Aino. The Aino is capable of remotely accessing media content on the PS3 games console. Unfortunately the phone is not the rumoured/fabled PSPhone although you can access your PS3 remotely over 3G or Wi-fi access. The connection will allow you to stream both audio and video to your phone as long as you have some sort of connection to the internet.
Sony are launching the NV-U3C satnav over in Japan. It’s rather an odd move it seems as most cars (according to Akihabaranews) already have satnav. Either way, Sony must have a reason for tackling this market again after saying recently they were dropping the GPS line up.
Fuel-cells look to be a fantastic way of powering a laptop and other portable equipment. By filling them up with something like methanol you can get hours of usage out and then an instant recharge by topping them back up. Sony are working on this technology and have created a prototype hybrid fuel-cell.
Over at PMA, Sony have launched their DSC-HX1 which is a superzoom hybrid camera. Large zoom’s on these types of mid range cameras are becoming more popular. This particular one is capable of 20x optical which is not bad at all.
At Cell Expo 2009 held in Tokyo, Sony were pushing some cool fuel-cell powered gadgets. A few were to be seen which included a fuel cell powered speaker and a fuel cell powered charger.
Phone operator KDDi have announced that the Sony Ericsson Premier 3 will be coming to their network. The Premier 3 is a clamshell phone that uses clear audio technology from Sony.
Sony’s latest Cybershot camera, the DSC-G3, has built in Wi-fi features. The camera uses 802.11b/g wireless networking to automatically send your images direct to web services such as Flickr and your videos to Youtube.
