The guys over at XDA Developers have managed to port the Google Nexus S Android 2.3 OS on to the older Samsung Galaxy S.
The port of the OS was installed unmodified which in turn, means a few things are broken such as GPS (already broken, so not a problem), Voice, WiFI and a few other things although a few modifications should sort those issues out. [Read more…]
The Google Nexus S release date is today here in the UK. When the price was first announced, the Nexus S weighed in at £549 which was actually higher than the dollar amount in the US, making it very expensive.

You might have heard already today that Android 2.3 has been announced. We now hear that the Nexus One Android 2.3 update is now being pushed out. From what we understand, the update brings all features to the Nexus One other than what requires new hardware such as NFC and Gyroscope.
