Asus are launching the Eee PC tablet that’s numbered the T101H. The Eee T101H is a step up from the slightly smaller Asus Eee T91 in that it has a larger screen that measures 10.1 inches. The screen is LED backlit.
The new netbook is powered by an Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor and has 1GB of RAM (which can be bumped up to 2GB). It has a 16GB SSD as well as an included 16GB SD card and the touchscreen is resistive rather then capacitive. [Read more…]

The Asus Eee 1005HA is now the best selling netbook on Amazon. Previously the Eee 1000HE held that title for a number of months.
The reason for the new netbook taking top position is probably related to what you get when you buy it. The battery life is astonishing at 10.5 hours. It has a 92% scaled keyboard, a 10.1 inch LED backlit screen and costs less then $400 which is not a bad price at all. [Read more…]
Erase-o-Matic is a device which quickly wipes your magnetic media be it a floopy disk, hard disk, zip disk, VHS or USB flash drive. It requires no power and simply requires that you slide the media through the device a couple of times.
When you need to quickly wipe data off a drive you slide it through from front to back, rotate it 180 degrees and slide it through again. Once done the media is completely dead to a point where your computer wont even recognise that it’s actually there. [Read more…]
NVIDIA are launching a netbook that will support the new Tegra chip. The Tegra chip so far has only been used in a Zune HD player, so making a move to a netbook will be an interesting step.
The Tegra chip is basically an all-in-one chip that integrates CPU, GPU, northbridge and southbridge on to the 1 chip as well as primary memory functionality. This integration supports a 720p resolution which provides HD video for the netbook. [Read more…]
Logitec have launched the LDV-P8U2L which is an 8x DVD and 24x CD player that connects to your laptops or netbooks USB port.
It comes in 3 colours of silver, black or red and is powered fully by the USB port on the device it connects to.
From what the translation seems to say, it is indicated that you can actually boot from this USB DVD drive which makes using it on a netbook very handy for the times you need to do an OS reload. [Read more…]

A few netbooks have been mentioned over the last few weeks that are aiming to use the Google Android OS rather then XP or a variation of Linux. Those manufacturers include Dell, Acer and MSI to name a few, but as of yet, nothing has been seen yet that is official. It seems like Dell are now working on an Android Netbook. The netbook mentioned was the Dell Mini Inspiron 910 and this information was dropped by Bsquare who are porting Adobe Flash Lite to the new Android Netbook… shortly after the press release coming out it was removed from the site.
