The CZC C9 netbook is built by Zichuang Technology who claim it to be the worlds thinnest netbook. The netbook measures just 5 millimeters in thickness (0.2 inches) and weighs just 750 grams.

Over at IFA in Berlin, Sony have announced the new VAIO X series netbook. The Sony Vaio X has an 11 inch screen and is very thin. The casing is made from carbon fibre that houses an aluminium keyboard. As the Vaio X uses lightweight materials it also is very light at just 700 grams.
A roadmap of upcoming Asus Eee netbook products has been leaked. It shows an impressive line of netbooks that will be appearing which includes a new 12″ netbook that uses the NVIDIA Ion graphics chip along with a tablet PC that will feature a multi-touch display.

Asus have launched their new netbook. Asus 1101HA is the name of it and is the first seashell netbook to have over an 11″ display. The 11.6″ screen has a WXGA resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels making it HD.
A guy over at prusadjs has hacked up his old MSI Wind 3 cell battery, attached a USB connector and now it is capable of charging an iPhone.
A few months ago Acer announced that they were introducing a new netbook that would dual boot in to either Windows XP or Android. If launched it would have been the first Android powered netbook to be launched. Unfortunately Acer have delayed this a few months due to not being able to find a market for a netbook of this specification.
