Nokia has now launched the Nokia 808 PureView for pre-order in the UK. The new 41 megapixel smartphone has been given a possible release date of April 23 although this isn’t set in stone just yet.

The wording on the invitation says: “Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note 10.1…”. This of course could work well for those who like the idea of the Galaxy Note, but find it a little small for every day use. A larger tablet sized device with a Stylus could be ideal for some.

The LG X3 is a quad-core smartphone that is scheduled to be launched in 2012. The device is expected to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich when it launches and will have a large 4.7 inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
New 3D Scanner from OrcaM Detailed
The 3D Reconstruction Sphere from OrcaM looks quite impressive. Inside the sphere you’ll find 7 high definition cameras that can rotate around an object so that it can be scanned as a 3D model within just a few minutes. As well as scanning and creating a mesh of the model, the cameras also capture textures on the object by using a series of lights that show reflections, bumps and other details on the object.

The mockup image below shows what the Nokia Lumia 900 could look like. The device is expected to launch soon and be a follow on from the Nokia Lumia 800 Windows Phone. The new details reveal that it will likely run the Windows Phone Mango operating system rather than Tango which was previously mentioned.
Intel Medfield Device Will be Unveiled at CES
Intel recently unveiled a reference design of a smartphone that runs the Intel Medfield system-on-a-chip. The rendering of the device can be seen below. This year it looks like LG and Intel will unveil a demonstration device to give users a look at what the Intel Medfield is capable of. A similar thing happened last year with the Intel Moorestown although not much came of that.
