iPhone iSketch Application Launched

iSketch is a new iPhone app that was developed by an 11 year old called Cameron. The iSketch application was written so that a portion of it’s earnings could be sent to the Mattel Childrens Hospital UCLA in Westwood and Santa Monica.

There are a few things interesting here though, the first is that an 11 year old managed to create what looks to be a great little app, and secondly that it was approved. Both are challenges in themselves. [Read more…]

HypnosEye iPhone Projector

hypnoseye_iphone_projectorThe iPhone has had a few projectors launched for it of which they look quite good. The latest that I came across just today is the HypnosEye that although does it’s job of projecting an image, doesn’t look that good. Looks aside though, the HypnosEye is a simple projector that uses a lens and mirror to project images seen on the screen of your iPhone.

No power supply or batteries are needed as it just reflects what’s on the screen on to a wall. For this reason you need to set the brightness of your iPhone or other player at maximum and switch auto-adjustment off.

Quality isn’t great, but in a dark room you will see a larger image on the wall of what’s on the screen on your phone. [Read more…]

Toyota Prius iPhone App

Prius-iPhone-AppToyota have released a new iPhone app that attempts to educate as well as advertise the features of the Prius car… in particular it’s Draw feature is the funkiest as it allows you and your iPhone to interact with a large screen over in Times Square New York. When you have downloaded the application you load it up and draw on the screen. Your drawings are then thrown up on to the huge screen and mixed with the Prius. Although I say it’s the funkiest part of the app, admittedly it’s not that amazing, but still kind of cool in a weird way.

Other features of the Prius iPhone App include 360 degree views of the interior and exterior of the car along with interaction with the camera on the phone as well as a 10 level game that makes use of the accelerometer in some shape or form. [Read more…]

Latest Apple iPhone 3G S Firmware Jailbreaked

Apple-iPhone-3G-S-JailBreakIn the last few days we have seen a number of places mention that Apple have shipped a new iPhone 3G S that has the boot ROM finally fixed to block the 24kpwn exploit. Many people knew it wouldn’t be long before this was also hacked, and funnily enough, it has.

The new boot ROM doesn’t actually prevent the 24kpwn exploit from working, but instead just added an obstacle in the path that the hackers have now managed to get around. There is a downside though in that to boot your device the phone needs to be tethered to your computer. However, this will probably be sorted in a few weeks just like the iPod Touch with the similar issue was. [Read more…]
