This time Tekken is going to be launched by Namco. When speaking with Pocket Gamer about iPhone Tekken, the anonymous source said that the game was far along in development and looking good.

To paraphrase, “the game is being finished up and it plays rather nicely.”

As of now it is not known if the game was started from scratch, or if it’s just an update to a PSP version that was launched a while back but either way it should run fantastic when launched on the iPhone 3G and 3G S. [Read more…]

The mini iPhone microphone is a device (costing $12.99) that allows it to do just that. To get it working you simply attach the small microphone pictured above in to your 3.5mm headphone jack, move it in the direction you want to record and speak away. [Read more…]

Apple iPad has Ability to make Emergency Calls – Maybe

Since the SDK launched allowing developers to see what’s available in the Apple iPad a number of functions have been found. The latest finding indicates that emergency calls can be made from the device… how? we are not sure just yet.

The emergency call function was spotted when trying the passcode lock and entering the password incorrectly 5 times. On the fifth attempt it gives the option to make an emergency call.

The first thoughts I had which are in-line with many others is that it’s a simple mistake/bug that the Apple [AAPL] developers have left when modifying the iPhone OS. [Read more…]

Adobe iPhone Flash – 7 Million People wanted it in December

Reports revealed today are showing that seven million iPhone and iPod Touch users attempted to download Adobe Flash to their iPhone/iPod back in December. This is an increase of 4 million from the 3 million who attempted the same in June last year.

Although not available in the app store, the flash application can be downloaded direct from Adobe, although due to restrictions on the iPhone there is no version that actually works on the devices. It is likely that the 7 million attempts to download flash were from users browsing websites and being presented with a prompt to download flash. [Read more…]

Apple iPad UI Detailed Tour

CultofMac have posted some interesting information on the Apple [AAPL] iPad and the user interface that it uses. Although a number of people have complained across the web about how it’s just a large iPod Touch, it makes you wonder if it does need to be different.

What Apple have said about the iPad is that it “improved the experience of doing every day computing tasks” ie, email, browsing and photo slideshows. This is where the iPad excels due to the larger screen. Although I can currently send emails from my T-Mobile G1, Dell Mini 9 netbook or regular laptop while on the move, that doesn’t mean it’s a streamlined process. Take the netbook for example, it’s small and takes several minutes to boot and finally load up web based outlook…. but the iPad aims to change that by providing a decent interface with quick connectivity. Apple iPad Doesn’t have Flash

When the Apple [AAPL] iPad promotional video launched it showed the iPad tablet browsing the New York Times webpage along with Adobe Flash content integrated. This caused some interest around the web as people started to believe that the iPad would support flash content which would then lead to the iPhone and iPod Touch also including it as they will run from the same OS soon.

However, it seems like Apple’s marketing department actually added the flash content in manually to the final cut of the video as the more accurate result is that you should see a blue brick asking you to install flash. [Read more…]
