According to the FT, Apple could be launching the Apple Tablet in September along with some new iPods and some new iTunes features created for those items.
Apple are wanting to offer a portable and full featured tablet sized device ready for this Christmas. It will feature a 10 inch touchscreen and run the iPhone OS. Connectivity to the net will be over Wi-fi making it function like a large iPod Touch. [Read more…]

For a fun product management class over at Georgia State University, students decided to create a concept video showing what a MacBook Touch would look like. The presentation starts off with an old Mac from 1984 then quickly moves to the iPod in 2001 and then the iPhone a few years after that at which point the MacBook Touch is displayed.
When the iPhone was launched it came with a nice glossy screen, covered in glass that helped give a crystal clear and sharp display. A couple of years ago these glass-enclosed screens were put on new macs and MacBooks and it worked quite well… for most people that is.

A rumour is out and about today indicating that iPod’s might be getting embedded video cameras built in. TechCrunch report that a huge order of cheap $10 cameras have been ordered by Apple. Apple are expected to sell 20 million iPhones this year and about 3+ Million iPods/month. If Apple were to include cameras on their range of iPod’s then that 3+ Million per month would give the low end video market a run for it’s money.
Tethering is a way provided which allows you to connect your laptop to a mobile phone (either by USB or bluetooth) and use the phones 3G capabilities to surf the net. Network providers generally frown upon this. Yesterday saw a relatively easy hack which allowed users to tweak their iPhone 3G S settings to allow for free tethering. What we now hear is that AT&T want to make tethering official… with a $55/month charge.
