While playing around with the new iOS 4.3 beta on the iPad, we came across an interesting menu item in the settings app that lets you now change what the Mute button does. You now have the option of switching it back to a lock rotation button.
If you think back to when the iPad first got iOS 4 the handy lock rotate button had its function changed to a mute switch. Since then, to lock the rotation you had to double tap the home button, swipe to the controls menu and then tap the orientation lock button. Apple has released iOS 4.3 beta 1 to developers indicating that the latest update isn’t too far away now.
Motorola has introduced details of its first Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet at CES 2011. The new tablet will be called the Motorola XOOM and will have a 10.1 inch screen.
HP has sent out an invite to a press event that will be specifically for webOS and will be held on February 9.
Skype for the iPhone has received an update bringing it up to version 3.0. This is the very same version we reported on a couple of days ago that had leaked on one of the Skype websites.

LifeHacker has created a handy tutorial that allows you to store your iTunes library in the DropBox service. What this does is allow you to sync your iPhone, iPad or iPod to a number of computers without getting any syncing errors or conflicts.
