LifeHacker has created a handy tutorial that allows you to store your iTunes library in the DropBox service. What this does is allow you to sync your iPhone, iPad or iPod to a number of computers without getting any syncing errors or conflicts.

Normally, your iPhone and other iOS devices can only sync to 1 computer running iTunes and when plugging your device in to another machine, files are missing as well as other complications such as when using an iPad, it asks if you want to start from scratch and erase all data from your iPad. iBooks 1.2 Download for iPhone and iPad Now Available

Apple [AAPL] has released a new update for iBooks. The new update is version 1.2 and it brings several new features to the iPhone and iPad (and iPod touch).

New features include better and fully illustrated books allowing childrens books to look better as well as for other books such as artbooks to get a makeover.

The update also brings more organisation to your library and now allows you to organise the library in to collections. The Books/PDF buttons have now been replaced with a single button that takes you to a list of folders. Here, you can create new collections such as study books etc… and then put books in to the folder to keep things more organised. [Read more…]

Free Flight Control for iPhone Launches – Ad Supported

Firemint has launched a free Flight Control game for those with an iPhone or iPod touch.

The free version is a fully working game with just 1 level to play through. As it’s free, the game is ad supported.

Firemint mention in their blog post that the game has all the options as well as Game Center integration. The only downside is that you do see ads and you only get that original level. [Read more…]

Apple Could Sell over 4 Million MacBooks This Quarter

Estimations from the NPD Group indicate that Apple [AAPL] could sell over 4 million MacBooks this quarter. The expected total should fall somewhere in the region of 4.1 to 4.3 million by the end of December.

The new MacBook Air is expected to contribute a good chunk towards those numbers although the exact share isn’t known at the moment. [Read more…]

iOS Infinity Blade Update Landing Next Week

Infinity Blade for the iPhone and IPad (and iPod touch) launched last week. We now hear that a new update is incoming as early as next week.

The new update will bring five new weapons to the game as well as five new shields, five new helmets and new armor. As well as the new weapons and defense features, the game will have a new level cap of 45 added to it. [Read more…]

New Apple LCDs to be Built in new Toshiba Plant

We hear today that Toshiba is about to make a new plant that will be responsible for making LCDs for Apple [AAPL] products. The new plant will cost around $1.2bn and the LCDs it will manufacture will be small, perhaps specifically for the iPhone, iPod range of products.

The screens being built are high resolution, perhaps retina displays or similar. The current factory that Toshiba has is capable of building 8.55 million screens per month. The new factory is expected to produce double that amount. [Read more…]

iPad Mini Rumors Resurface

Although Steve Jobs said there was no chance a smaller 7 inch iPad would be built, the rumors still wont die. We now hear from Reuters who cite an Asian manufacturing source who says a smaller, half sized iPad is currently being manufactured.

There aren’t any other rumors to accompany this one other than the source indicating that this particular model will sit right between the iPod touch and the regular iPad. Some features we can predict if this rumor ends up being true is that it will have a higher res screen as well as a couple of cameras one of which for FaceTime calls. [Read more…]

Google Latitude for iPhone Goes Live

The Google Latitude app for iPhone and other iOS devices is now available in the app store. The app first appeared last week but was quickly removed. This time it’s here to stay from what we understand.

What the Google Latitude app does is lets you track where your friends are on a map. When logged in to the system and when it’s enabled, your position on the globe is made available to your friends so that you can see who is where. [Read more…]

Google Instant for Mobile Launched Globally

Google [GOOG] has announced that Google Instant for Mobile has now been rolled out to 40 countries and that the service now works in 28 different languages.

Google Instant was launched just over a month ago and allows users to type and see changing results being built as they type a keyword. Google indicate that this improves user experience by making it quicker to search. Originally the service was available to users logged in to the desktop. Recently the desktop version moved to all users who are logged in or not, and now has begun arriving on smartphones. [Read more…]

Infinity Blade for iPad and iPhone Released

Infinity Blade for the iPhone and iPad has now been launched. The game is created by Epic Games and uses the new 3D engine to power the stunning graphics.
