T-Mobile have officially announced that the HTC HD2 is heading to their network in the US. Rather than being a traditional HD2 branded by a carrier, this particular model will have what T-Mobile call “a never-before-seen mobile experience” to those in the US.
What that means is subscribers to T-Mobile who pick up a HD2 will have access to several entertainment features that are pre-installed on the device. This includes a Barnes & Noble eReader that gives you access to more than a million eBooks, newspapers, magazines etc…
Blockbuster on Demand is also pre-installed and allows users to download movies on to their phone. MobiTV is also included that installed that brings a number of channels including MTV, NBC, Comedy Central and ESPN to the HD2. [Read more…]

A few days ago we mentioned the HTC Espresso was spied with some updated Sense UI features. The images of the ROM showed some new buttons that had translucent backgrounds along with a bit more integration with contacts.
Over on XDA developers there’s an interesting thread that reveals upcoming phones for the 1st half of next year. Included in the set of phones are five Android based phones along with three devices running Windows Phone. Pocketnow wonder why only 3 windows phone’s were only mentioned and suggest it could be related to a second half 2010 release of Windows Mobile 7.
The HTC HD2 was recently launched on to the Vodafone network in the UK costing nothing on a £35/month plan and above. O2 have now started selling the HD2 and offering it for free, but for £45 on their network. The contract might be £10/month more expensive, but the more expensive contract only ties you down to 18 months rather than the 24 months of the Vodafone contract.
Vodafone [VOD] have launched the much anticipated HTC HD2 on to their network in the UK, and good news is that if your willing to spend £35/month on a 2 year contract, you can pick it up for free.
Verizon have officially announced that they will be offering the HTC DROID Eris and that it will be launched tomorrow on their network. The DROID Eris is another version of the HTC Hero and has a 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen along with a 5 megapixel camera, EVDO Rev.A and it uses the HTC Sense user interface.
The highly anticipated HTC HD2 has just been unboxed and uploaded to Youtube in the last day. Although the box used is just a temporary box, it’s still good to see the actual phone and what it looks like while booting up etc…
Amazon are now taking pre-orders for the HTC HD2 in the UK preparing for a SIM free launch date of November 20 2009.
