An image was posted on the ppcgeeks forum that shows the alleged date for the HTC HD2 to launch on the T-Mobile network in the US. The date shown on the image says we can expect the phone on March 24. No other information on the HD2 is provided other than it being Windows mobile based.
From what we learned recently, it seems like the HTC HD2 might come with some extra RAM and ROM which some say could be a preparation for Windows Mobile 7 although other hidden memory was recently found on other versions of the phone. HTC have launched a software update for the HTC HD2 that aims to fix the camera problems that the model has had since launch. The update is described as being a Digital Picture Enhancement and was released just today.
MSMobiles have received some information indicating that the HTC HD2 will be upgradable to Windows Mobile version 7 when launched. The source also mentioned that it will be an official update rather than a hacked together version.
The HTC HD2 was recently launched on to the Vodafone network in the UK costing nothing on a £35/month plan and above. O2 have now started selling the HD2 and offering it for free, but for £45 on their network. The contract might be £10/month more expensive, but the more expensive contract only ties you down to 18 months rather than the 24 months of the Vodafone contract.
