The Nintendo 3DS will be launching in Japan in the next few days. Somehow, someone managed to get hold of one early to tear it down and see exactly what Nintendo have crammed inside the case.
As you might already be aware, the Nintendo 3DS has a glasses free 3D screen allowing gamers to be more immersed in the action. Unfortunately, there is no detailed breakdown of the screen other than seeing it embedded in the casing of the 3DS, but expect over the coming weeks we’ll see a more indepth breakdown in regards to the screen. Over in the UK, Expansys now has the LG Optimus 3D available for preorder.
The LG Optimus 3D has also been made official today. This new smartphone is unique in that it has dual-cameras on the back as well as a glasses free 3D screen. The 3D effect works by using a parallax barrier in a similar way to how the Nintendo 3DS screen works. What this does is splits the image in two and sends different details to each eye which in turn, makes the images pop out of the screen when used at a certain distance from your eyes.
T-Mobile has announced the LG G-Slate. This particular tablet has an 8.9 inch screen and runs an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. The operating system that will run on the G-Slate is Android 3.0.
Reports are coming in about users of the new Nintendo 3DS feeling a little sick after using the new handheld 3D games console for just a few minutes.

While writing this post I find myself realising that I’ve already written a fair amount on the whole ‘3D’ thing. But this new avenue to view our TV programs and play our games seems to be all the rage at the moment and rightly so.
In Chiba, Japan, NTT DoCoMo (Japan’s largest mobile carrier) have put on show something pretty impressive that could quite possibly revolutionise 3D gaming.
As of today Sky TV have launched Europe’s first 3D channel and for those who already have Sky World HD subscriptions, get this great new channel for free! (Of course providing they have a 3D ready TV set that is).
A European newspaper has inadvertently let slip the release date for Nintendo’s 3DS.
