This computer, named Go Computer, is aimed at the older generation. It achieves the target by having a larger typeface keyboard then normal that also includes color coded keys as well as a trackball.
To get it working it simply needs somewhere to plug it in and a broadband connection. The LCD monitor that measures somewhere between 19″ and 22″ has an EeeBox PC attached to the back that runs the MyGait operating system that was designed to be more friendly. [Read more…]
AT&T are now selling the Nokia E71x as mentioned back in March. The phone will go on sale today and cost $99.99 (after a rebate and with a 24 month contract).
Since the launch of the Eee PC I have always wanted a small laptop with a screen measuring less then 10″. Move closer to now and we now see a bunch of manufacturers creating these tiny PC’s. The next one I am looking at is the Acer Aspire One (A150 Model).
Yves Behar has designed a mockup / concept design of what the “brick” project could look like. The concept shows a full all-screen laptop device which has been called “A hybrid iPhone-meets-Macbook-Air that would put hot netbooks like the EeePC to shame.”
A nice range of ultra portable laptops have been showing up around places recently. The Asus EEE PC was one which took the world by storm with it’s low price tag. The next in line is the HP Mini Note which has a high res 1280 x 768 display that measures 8.9″.
HP are launching a seriously nice looking UMPC named the 2133. The screen is just 8.9 inches which is ample for a UMPC and it is scratch resistant. The resolution it runs at is 1366 x 766 (WXGA). An ExpressCard/54 slot can be found in there along with Wireless LAN, a QWERTY keyboard that is not much smaller then normal and a web cam can also be found integrated too.
