HP Pavilion TX1000 Tablet

The HP Pavilion TX1000 is a tablet PC which has some great specs. It boasts 2GB of RAM, an AMD Turion 64×2 dual core processor and an NVidia Graphics card. This is enough power in the tablet to run Vista Ultimate Edition. With it being a tablet PC the screen is on a hinge which swivels 180 degrees allowing you to use the tablet PC as a tablet or a laptop with the full keyboard. The TX1000 makes use of sensors to see which mode you are in and can rotate the screen automatically to suit what you are doing which is a nice feature and a small time saver. The 12.1 inch screen is bright and is also a touch screen as can be expected from a tablet PC as input from a stylus is necessary.

Clevo Laptop Graphics Card

We covered the Clevo 20 inch laptop the other day and it got me thinking more about the actual hardware it utilises to run that massive screen and keep the nice WSXGA+ LCD (1680 x 1050) resolution. The Clevo laptop graphics card actually comes in 3 different options. These are…
* Dual /SLI nVIDIA GeForceTM Go 7900 GTX (G71M-GTX) High performance
* Dual /SLI nVIDIA Quadro FX 2500M high performance graphic chip
* Dual /SLI nVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX(G71M-UU) high performance graphic chip
Those 3 cards are some seriously good kit and especially for a laptop. The 7900 GTX is capable of shifting 38.4GB/s of memory bandwidth and the 7950 GTX can shift 44.8 GB/s. The FX 2500M is capable of shifting 38.4GB/s also. Being able to shift all that data so quick makes these cards and laptop ideal for 3D graphics. As well as 3D graphics these clevo laptop graphics cards are capable of XHD (Extreme High Definition) which allows you to play the latest 3D games in high definition with out the frame rate loss. As well as this you can watch High Definition movies which are displayed using NVIDIAs PureVideo technology.
Before reading up on the graphics card for Clevo I was just expecting some onboard shared memory card. I was mistaken. Before you run out and buy one of these nice laptops take in to consideration that the Quadro FX 2500M has different specs to the Go 79xx series cards.
One last item to mention is the Clevo laptops are not the only 20 inch screen laptops to use these graphics cards. They actually build the chassis and companies like Alienware, Sager and VoodooPC customise them to suit their needs.

Sony PSP V2

The Sony PSP was launched over 2 years ago and rumours are now circulating that a redesign could be due. The PS1 and PS2 have both been through dramatic redesigns slicing all the excess off the larger versions and making them a whole lot smaller. I do not think there is too much more that could be cut down on the Sony PSP as it boasts a seriously nice sized screen which would be a shame to make smaller, however, it could be made a tad thinner. I am sure the design team at Sony will do something good with the PSP. Some PSP users are requesting a second analogue stick.
Features I would like to see in the new version is a thinner form, same sized screen, memory based rather then UMB based, dual analog controllers, analogue buttons like the PS2 and PS3 control pad and maybe a rumble option 🙂 Of course features such as wifi should stay, with the possibility of Bluetooth and GPS. We can dream though, although it’s all technically feasable with the advancements in technology.

HP TouchSmart IQ770

The IQ770 is a touch screen PC running Windows Vista. The TouchSmart replaces your homes notice board and allows you to leave notes by digital ink, voice or typed out. Also it is capable of running your families schedule. With Vista powering the device it allows entertainment to also run such as watching movies, listening to MP3s and even record live TV. Power wise this device isnt bad. It runs an AMD Turion 64 X2 dual core processor and has 2Gb RAM built in as well as a 320Gb disk. Overall it looks like it could be a nice device to organise your house although I am sure price would be the main factor here as it could be seen as an expensive notice board. Video after the jump.

Neo N7 GPS Navigation Device

The Neo N7 caught my attention today due to it’s large screen and interesting navigation software. The screen is 7 inches although it is only capable of 16k colours which is unfortunate as it would double as a nice movie player and picture viewer had it been capable of much more. Movies can still be played and the device has an SD card slot so that you can play movies off your memory card. Dual core processing is an option but pricing of this option is not currently available. Full specs are after the jump.

Nokia N95 Smart Phone – With Wifi
Nokia recently unveiled their latest N series (the N95). This new phone which will hit the market later this year, is packed full of some amazing features which we will list below.

The Nokia N95 features a dual sliding feature which when sliding one way you reveal the keypad and when sliding back the other way the music keys are then available. The N95 features integrated GPS, a 5 mega pixel Carl Zeiss camera and HSDPA enabled on 3G. The intergrated GPS is currently a gray area as some claim it ships seperate and others say it’s built in. Hopefully, it’s all inclusive. Wifi and Bluetooth are integrated also.
