Dell Latitude Z 600 16″ Laptop Announced

dell_latitude_z_600_official_1Dell have released details of their latest flagship business laptop. It is named the Dell Latitude Z 600 and has a 16 inch screen that can display a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. The keyboard on the Dell Z 600 is backlit.

When buying the Dell Z 600 laptop you have the choice of 2 processors which include an Intel Core 2 Duo running at 1.4GHz (SU9400) or a 1.6GHz SU9600 processor. Memory wise you can opt to have up to 4GB installed as well as dual SSD drives for storage if wanted.

The Dell Z 600 laptop also has an optional wireless charging stand that costs around $200 for each of the stand and wireless module for the laptop. Also a wireless dock that houses a USB, DVI and other connections can be purchased. [Read more…]

TomTom XXL 530S and 540S Launched

TomTom-530-vs-330TomTom has launched their latest PND (ie, GPS satnav) units that have a 5″ widescreen display as well as upgraded routing technology. The new routing technology is based around IQ Routes that calculates the quickest journey time based on historical data.

HTC Leo Smartphone – First Shots

htc_leoThe HTC Leo has finally been pictured in decent quality. When it was first spotted it looked a tad fake. Well, as can be seen it is definitely real and has an impressive 4.3″ capacitive touchscreen. For reference, the phone next to it has a 3.6″ screen.

The HTC Leo will run Windows Mobile 6.5 when launched (known now as Windows Phone) and will have a 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, a 1GHz Qualcomm 8250B processor and will measure just 11mm in thickness. [Read more…]

Nokia Erdos Leaked

nokiaerdosDetails of the new Nokia Erdos have leaked. The Erdos features a polished aluminium casing along with a mirrored 2.4 inch OLED QVGA screen.

The camera has 5 megapixels, has auto-focus and uses Carl Zeiss optics for the lens. To light up shots the Erdos also features a dual LED flash. Memory on the phone can be expanded by using a microSD card up to 8GB in capacity. For connectivity it supports Wi-Fi, aGPS and Bluetooth (A2DP). [Read more…]

Samsung WB5000 Coming this Month

samsung-wb5000Samsung have announced that they are launching the WB5000 compact digital camera. It has a 12.5 megapixel sensor along with 24x optical zoom and a 26mm wide angle focal length. By having a 24x optical zoom it is capable of a focal range of 624mm.

The camera is also capable of capturing images in HD at 720p in H.264 format.

‘Photographers of all skill levels are going to be drawn to the WB5000’s features, said Choong Hyun Hwang, Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Samsung Digital Imaging Company. ‘The versatility of the lens gives any user, whether you’re a soccer mom on the sidelines or an enthusiast looking to create a stunning image, the ability to be prepared for just about any shooting scenario.Serious shooters will gravitate toward the WB5000’s aperture and shutter priority modes as well as full manual control and RAW support. Nokia N97 Mini Introcuced

Nokia-N97-miniIt’s a busy day for Nokia news today. More from Nokia Conversations provides details on the Nokia N97 mini that was unveiled just this morning over in Stuttgart.

The new N97 mini has new homescreen widgets as well as some usability improvements. 8GB of storage can be found inside and it has a decent sized 3.2 inch touchscreen as well as a full QWERTY slide out keyboard.

The N97 mini measures just 14.2mm in thickness and has the same design as the regular N97 apart from it being slightly smaller. [Read more…]

Canon-EOS-7DUpdate: Canon EOS 7D Available at Amazon. DPReview have posted a preview of the Canon EOS 7D to see what extras it brings to the Canon EOS range of cameras. Due to stronger competition from the Sony Alpha range of cameras and Nikon’s D200 and D300 cameras it now means that Canon have to step up even more to get noticed.

The camera has a new 18 megapixel sensor and has an impressive viewfinder with a 1.0% magnification showing 100% of the frame rather than a 95% viewfinder that is in the EOS 50D. DPReview mention the 50D in their 7D review but say it’s not based at all around it. [Read more…]

Caon-eos-7dUpdate: Canon EOS 7D Now available at Amazon. Some pictures have leaked of the new Canon DSLR digital camera called the EOS 7D. The Canon EOS 7D is an 18 megapixel camera that has HD video, a digital level, a 3 inch screen and dual DIGIC 4 processors.

ISO can run from 100 – 6400 with a 12800 mode. The viewfinder also shows 100% coverage too. As well as the leaked poster and box shown above and below, the DSLR also gets 2 new lenses that are 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 and an 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6. [Read more…]

Sony Alpha A850, A550 and A500 DSLRs Launch

sony_alpha_850_dslrSony has released information on 3 new digital SLR cameras in the Alpha range of cameras. The first is the A850 that has a 24.6 megapixel sensor. This camera is full-frame and has a new 28-75mm F2.8 lens. It shares a number of features from the flagship a900 camera but this one will cost less at less than $2000 for the body.

‘Sony is bringing the benefits of a full-frame digital SLR camera to a broader group of consumers, said Kristen Elder, director of AMC business unit in the Digital Imaging Division at Sony Electronics. ‘The α850 strengthens Sony’s alpha DSLR line, which now offers models in each step from high-end professional down to the amateur enthusiast.

Sharp NetWalker PC-Z1 with 5 Inch Display

sharp_netwalker_pc-z1_netbookThe NetWalker built by Sharp is another netbook sized device that is completely on opposite sites of the scale to the spacebook we just mentioned. This tiny netbook has just a 5 inch display, has 512MB of RAM and runs an 800MGz Arm Cortex-A8 processor.
