HTC Legend – Another Leaked Pic

The HTC Legend has been snapped a few times before and here we find another picture of it, but this time the picture also was sent with a number of specs to let us know exactly what will be included with the phone.

The Legend looks to have an aluminium casing that wraps around the edges of the phone. The smartphone has a 3.2 inch HVGA AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and the phone is powered by a Qualcomm MSM7227 processor that runs at 600MHz.

Other features include a fairly decent five megapixel camera that uses an LED flash to light subjects. For connectivity it has Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and WiFi. [Read more…]

Canon EOS T2i Announced

Ready for Pre-Order. Canon have released details of their latest EOS Rebel camera called the Canon EOS T2i. The new T2i will become the higher spec model in the lower-cost digital SLR camera range.

On to the technical specs we see it has an 18 megapixel sensor with the ability to use 9-point autofocus and a 63 zone dual layering metering system similar to like the EOS 7D camera has.

On the back of the camera is a 3 inch LCD screen that has a smudge resistive coating and is capable of showing live-view images. [Read more…]

Dell Adamo Admire now below $1000

Dell have launched the Adamo Admire that is priced below $1000 running at $999. What you get for $999 is a super slim great looking laptop that has a 720p HD screen measuring 13.4 inches. The processor isn’t the fastest at 1.4GHz although it is an Intel Core 2 Duo.

The Adamo Admire runs Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) and has a full sized keyboard. For memory it has 2GB of 800MHz DDR3 dual-channel memory and for storage, a 128GB solid state drive (SSD).

The full sized keyboard on the Adamo Admire is back-lit and has a metallic key cap design. A 1.3 megapixel webcam can be found integrated in the bezel as well as an integrated microphone. [Read more…]

More Apple Tablet Details Revealed by WSJ

WSJ have created a list of what can be expected in the Apple iSlate or iTablet or whatever it will be called. The tablet will come with the ability to be shared with several members of a household and could possibly use facial recognition to adjust settings according to individual needs. If it is cloud based then each user will get their own files when logging in.

Other information reveals that an on-screen keyboard will be used for text entry. That particular point is an obvious one really with any sort of tablet device. The tablet will focus on content for old media such as text books, news and TV putting them all in your hand while on the move. [Read more…]

iPhone 4G Visual Roundup

A number of rumours about the next gen iPhone have been floating around over the last few months. Similar to the Apple iSlate roundup picture we posted last week, the iPhone 4G rumours roundup covers all rumours and their potential of actually happening measured in percent.

The image shows the back and front of the phone. On the back the rumours include a glowing Apple logo which is marked as low as possible at just 1% chance of happening. 3M Multi-Touch Display Launched

3M are launching a new multitouch screen that measures 22 inches and is capable of capturing input from up to 10 fingers. The screen is called the M2256PW and runs at a high-definition resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels. The new LCD screen is aimed at professionals and professional consumers who are looking for true multi-touch compatibility.

Utilizing this new technology, software developers are able to revolutionize the way users interact with all types of information and to expand traditional touch interaction to include multiple users and increase collaboration. “Consumers and prosumers have come to expect multi-touch functionality in their everyday electronic devices”, Tsourides says. “The release of the M2256PW display provides a technological leap in multi-touch interactivity, surpassing traditional two-finger multi-touch by providing full, 10-finger multi-touch capability.”

Microsoft Tablet to be Announced Today

We have heard on a weekly basis about Apple [AAPL] building a tablet device probably to be called the Apple iSlate. What we haven’t heard much about is Microsoft [MSFT] creating a tablet other than a couple of mentions of the Microsoft Courier a few months ago that’s more of a split screen booklet rather than a tablet. What we hear today though is that Steve Ballmer will be unveiling a tablet at CES during his keynote speech.

If this happens it will come weeks before a rumoured unveiling of Apple’s iSlate which could either be a good or a bad thing. If done right then it wont be another “me-too” type device and hopefully this is the case. [Read more…]

Acer Olympic Edition Notebooks Revealed

Acer are launching a number of Olympic edition notebook computers shortly that are built from othe Acer Aspire 1810T, 4810T, 1410 and G245H LCD devices. However, there isn’t too much to get excited about spec wise as the notebooks have exactly the same hardware specs.

The only difference with the Olympic edition notebooks is the 5 ring Olympic logo that will be put on the lid as well as the palm rest area of the devices. [Read more…]

Objet Geometries Connex RP Samples

objet_geometriesWe have received a few samples of printed objects in the past from Objet Geometries and each time we get samples we are more impressed with what they achieve. Out of the 3 or so samples we have received each one is slightly more advanced than the previous 3D print allowing for various types of plastics to be used on a single pass.

At Core77, Objet Geometries were demonstrating some printed objects which were just fantastic it has to be said. Objects ranged from a set of wheels with soft rubber tires that had working suspension and a rigid frame work. What makes it more impressive is that everything was printed with a single pass. Basically you feed the machine with a type of CAD file that contains the 3D data and plastic data and it prints the object out for you. [Read more…]

Motorola MILESTONE Now Available in the UK

According to SlashGear, eXpansys currently have an exclusive agreement in place that gives them full rights to selling the phone. You can choose to have the phone unlocked where it will set you back £449.99, or chose to buy a subsidized model which will lower the price, but lock you in to a contract for a certain amount of time.

If you sign up for an 18 month contract on the T-Mobile network the cost per month is £35 which allows you to get the phone for £49.99 which isn’t a bad price for what you get. [Read more…]

The Acer 1820PTZ as mentioned, is a netbook tablet. The screen can be swivelled around and folded back down allowing you to use pen input. The tablet is also multitouch allowing more than one finger to make contact with the screen for zooming and gesture input. [Read more…]

Another Motorola Android Handset Spotted

moto-android-round-black1This morning we wrote about the Motorola Sholes Tablet that was spotted recently. Since writing about that, another Motorola smartphone has been spotted that runs the Android OS.

The name of the phone is not known at the moment, but from what a tipster at BGR has said, the phone will run an 800MHz processor, have a 3.8 inch display along with an 8 megapixel camera with a dual LED flash. [Read more…]
