Today, HTC has announced a few new smartphones. The first up is the HTC Desire HD that we have seen a number of times before in various leaks.
Features of the HTC Desire HD include a large 4.3 inch LCD screen. The processor powering the Desire HD is a Qualcomm Snapdragon running at 1GHz. The OS running on the Desire HD will of course be Android 2.2 Froyo and the device will also run HTC Sense which might or might not be a good thing depending on if you like Android 2.2 in plain Vanilla. It is however, the first phone that will hook up the the HTCSense.com system.

Dell has demoed a rather crazy looking convertible netbook/tablet device. The new device is called the Dell Inspiron Duo 10 (we think…) and has a screen that swivels around to make the netbook in to a tablet form factor.
Olympus has announced the new Olympus E-5 Digital SLR camera today. The new DSLR comes with a 12.3 megapixel sensor.
Canon is rumoured to be working on a mirrorless camera for launch early next year. The camera currently being designed and built is said to be the Canon EIS 60 that will be in a micro four thirds size casing and will have a 22 megapixel sensor.

The Toshiba Folio 100 was on display at IFA today. The Folio 100 is an Android based tablet that will be launching soon.
Twitter for iPad has finally landed. The update arrived last night which brings the official Twitter app to the iPad.
If you can’t decide between an iPhone or a Palm Pre then perhaps this import device might be for you. According to the site that sells it, it’s a Palm Pre with QWERTY keyboard that not only has webOS running inside, it also has iOS (well, a fake iOS we should say). Canon has announced it’s latest Digital SLR camera today. The new camera is the Canon EOS 60D that bring an articulating display, 18 megapixel sensor and the ability to capture video in full HD.
Apple [AAPL] could be launching a new iMac called the iMac touch. This information comes from a patent that was found that shows an iMac being used with both a touchscreen and a keyboard as represented in the drawings above and below.
Melissa Thompson has managed to break the texting world record by typing out a text message in just 25.94 seconds. This is around 9 seconds faster than the previous record which stood at 35 seconds.
