Today at the Back to the Mac event, Apple [AAPL] also announced Max OS X Lion. The Lion version will be the 8th major release in the series when it arrives in the summer of 2011.
New features in Mac OS X Lion include the Mac App Store that brings to App Store of the iPhone and iPad to the Mac. The store is different in regards to what apps will be available, but the principles behind it are the same in that users can can easily download apps that run in full screen from the store with just one click. The Mac App Store will be launching in 90 days time for Snow Leopard and in November, developers will be able to begin submitting apps for approval at launch. The HTC Gratia was revealed earlier today. The Gratia is an Android based smartphone. It has a 3.2 inch screen that is in a HVGA format. It has a 600MHz Qualcomm processor and can connect to HSPA and WCDMA networks running at 900 and 2100.
Windows Phone 7 is getting launched today. At the event we expect to see details about new smartphones being made available as well as launch dates, pricing and details about what apps will be made available.
As can be seen already today, Motorola [MOT] is launching another device called the Motorola DROID Pro. The DROID Pro is described as being a “mobile office in your pocket” and has a number of features that allow you to keep connected to business whilst on the move.
ASUS could be in the process of releasing a new tablet called the ASUS EeePad EP90.
In the image above, you’ll be able to see a large yellow dot attached to the underside of the screens. This is a Super Microphone that has 300 microphones inside along with a camera along side it. What it does is allows users to zoom in to any conversation in the basketball court to listen in to what people are saying.

DropBox is a very handy service that allows you to easily transfer files and documents between your desktop and a mobile device. When you drop files in to the folder on a desktop the file is automatically synchronised to an online service which the mobile apps can then sync with and grab files such as PDF’s and photos as and when needed.
