DigiTimes has reported that Android 3.0 tablets could arrive as early as as December. The models arrive will just be samples in preparation for launch at CES 2011 that goes ahead early in January.
As well as mentioning that tablets running Android 3.0 Gingerbread will arrive, DigiTimes also reveals that tablets from Acer, ASUS and MSI will all appear on the show floor. [Read more…]

Archos looks set to be launching another new Android based tablet. This time the tablet will be called the Archos 70 and will run the Android 2.2 operating system. The tablet has a 7 inch screen that has a resolution of 800 by 480 pixels.

Android 3.0 is believed to be called Gingerbread and has a release date of any time between now and Christmas. In fact, the SDK is expected to land this week. We have also heard rumors of Android Honeycomb and today, we hear that the version after that could be called Ice Cream.
The HTC Gratia was revealed earlier today. The Gratia is an Android based smartphone. It has a 3.2 inch screen that is in a HVGA format. It has a 600MHz Qualcomm processor and can connect to HSPA and WCDMA networks running at 900 and 2100.
Samsung has announced that the Samsung Galaxy S Android 2.2 update is now available for download. The download comes as an OTA (over the air) update and will bring your smartphone up to the latest version available.
Opera is launching the Opera Mobile Browser for Android smartphones within the next month. The new browser will launch with pinch to zoom on Android with more features being added over time, such as hardware acceleration.
