200,000 Pre-orders on AT&T for iPhone 4S within 12 Hours
Within 12 hours of the iPhone 4S pre-orders opening, AT&T managed to get 200,000 orders of the new smartphone from Apple [AAPL].

Google Nexus Prime Leaked and Delayed
The Google Nexus Prime was expected to be announced this coming week although it seems that it has already been delayed.
“Samsung and Google decide to postpone the new product announcement at CTIA Fall. We agree that it is just not the right time to announce a new product. New date and venue will be shortly announced.”
We don’t know how big the delay is, but suspect it will likely launch before Christmas still, perhaps late November now. The image below was leaked earlier today showing what is believed to be the Nexus Prime.

HTC Sensation XL Announced
HTC has announced the Sensation XL smartphone. This particular model comes at the same time as another device also announced by HTC. The HTC Sensation XL is launching tomorrow and has a 4.7 inch screen that is Super LCD and has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. iPhone 4S Sample Photos Uploaded
One of the updates on the new iPhone 4S is the camera. It now has an 8 Megapixel sensor that is backlit and has modified optics to capture more light. The results are now available on the Apple website showing the standard images that were seen yesterday in the iPhone 4S announcement.
Apple Announce the iPhone 4S – Release Date is October 14
After months of rumours and “leaked” details, Apple [AAPL] has now announced the new iPhone 4S. The release date for the new smartphone is the 14th October with pre-orders opening on the 7th.
LG Optimus LTE Now Official
A new smartphone has been announced by LG. The LG Optimus LTE has a few new features which includes LTE connectivity to speed up downloads of data. As well as getting a connectivity boost, LG has also included a 4.5 inch IPS display which they call IPS True HD. The resolution of the screen is 1280 x 720 pixels and is claimed to be the first of its kind that will launch in South Korea.
Nikon D800 Likely to Get 36 Megapixel Sensor
Some technical specs of a new camera from Nikon have surfaced. The new DSLR camera is expected to be the Nikon D800 and when it launches, it will have a 36 megapixel sensor. The Nikonrumors site puts a 99% probability on this bit of information.

HTC Radar 4G Announced by T-Mobile
T-Mobile has announced a new smartphone that is compatible on its HSPA+ network. The new smartphone is the HTC Radar 4G which is also the first Windows Phone 7.5 Mango device that supports the HSPA+ network at T-Mobile.
