This Casio is a prototype which is capable of capturing 60 frames per second at 6 mega pixels. If you jump back to VGA quality it can even record at 300 frames per second which allows capture of some cool stuff to play back in slow motion. The lens is capable of 12 x optical zoom which is a nice amount too allowing for some good shots at long distances. The camera has a 2.8 inch LCD screen and the CMOS sensor is believed to come from Sony and is a 1/1.8 inch sensor. The camera measures 127.5 x 79.5 x 130.9 mm and weighs 650 Grams.

No information is available yet on what storage is used and how the images are transferred.

The latest camera from Panasonic is the Lumix FX100 which boasts a 12.2 megapixel CCD and also the ability to record high definition video. It has 27Mb of internal memory which isnt really that much considering the 12.2 megapixel capabilities. Of course you can extend the memory by the way of an SD memory card which will allow you to make full use of the HD recording capabilities. The video its self is recorded at 1280 x 720 pixels but it is only at 15fps.

You may have seen those videos captured of a bullet recorded with cameras running a number of times faster. The results of seeing objects explode is quite amazing. In this instance, a water balloon is exploded with a pin and captured by a high speed camera. The video is then slowed down by a factor of 80 times to reveal some very cool shots. Sinar have launched a new digital camera named the Hy6. The Hy6 allows you to take both digital and convential film shots. An interesting feature of this camera is the ability to be able to change the image sensor for a larger and higher resolution sensor of sizes up to 56x56mm. The camera has the ability to be controlled remotly by computer by using Sinars CaptureShop software.

This camera might be a tad out of the average persons price range as it will set you back $32500.

When rotated it switches to different modes. When used in the normal resting position it is an MP3 player (and camera), rotate it and the movie player loads up. Sony Camera Recall

Eight models of Sony digital cameras are being recalled due to a defect in the LCD screens on some of the cameras. The problem is to do with an image sensor which has a glitch and causes pictures to not be displayed correctly. Currently there is no indication of how many cameras have this defect. Good news is that if your camera in the range listed below has this problem then you can send it in for repair and they will do this for free.

The recall is for the following cameras… DSC-F88, DSC-M1, DSC-T1, DSC-T11, DSC-T3, DSC-T33, DSC-U40 and DSC-U50.
