Fuji Finepix F470

Fuji have introduced this 6 megapixel Finepix camera (the F470). It’s a very light weight camera weighing in at just 122g which puts it as one of the lightest in the 6 megapixel class.

It features a 3x zoom, quick start up, low shutter lag, ISO 400, and excellent colour and white balance. The screen is a nice sized 2.5″ which we are seeing quite often on the latest digital cameras.

On the downside, the battery provided is not that great and does not hold it’s charge too well. A shame, but still a great camera.

Mustek Super Gadget – The DV536

What on earth is a super gadget? Mustek have created it and I will tell you 🙂 A super gadget is something that plays music, videos, has a built in 10 Mega Pixel camera and can encode footage from TV’s or DVD players as well as a whole lot more.

The mustek is an amazing looking little device that seriously packs a punch in it’s tiny case.

The price? Not much to be honest. They have squeezed all this in to a less then $200 package.

Unfortunatly it’s not really a 10 Mega Pixel camera… it’s a 5 megapixel interpolated. It is still a good bargain at the price it is coming on sale for and you will need a hefty SD card to capture recordings.

The Spy Finder

Have you ever found your self in a situation where you wonder if you are being watched by hidden cameras? I cant say that I really have, but it would seem to Spy Finder that they are very concious of this being a problem and have now invented a hidden camera finder.

It uses a ring of very bright LED's and when you look through a viewing port you can suddenly see that big brother is watching you.

Casio 7.2 megapixel Exilim EX-Z70

The Exilim models from Casio are nice! They have done a good job when making this digital camera. The Exilim EX-Z70 has a 7.2 Mega Pixel digital camera on which produces some amazing results. The camera is slightly smaller then it's former model because they have managed to shave off a few more extra MM on this camera. It has a 2.5" display and 3x optical zoom. Also a nice feature is the stabilization which will be a nice suprise. The Black version is due out at the end of July with a Silver version due out a month later.

DALSA Semiconductore – 111 Mega Pixel Chip

News came in yesterday of a 111 Megapixel chip. I doubt we will be seeing 111 Megapixel digital cameras out too soon though although it's just a matter of time before they do appear.

The CCD is 4" square and can take a picture with the resolution of 10,560 x 10,560 pixels. Not bad!!! Not sure how quick it takes thse pictures because of the amount of data transferring. No doubt in a few years time a 111 mega pixel camera will be pretty standard in off the shelf cameras.
