Augmented Reality Business Card

A guy named James Alliban has decided to used augmented reality to create his business cards. The cards were printed at moo.com and on the back contain a graphic which is then captured on to a computer via a webcam. When the camera picks up the little graphic a cool 3D grid of coloured planes pops up, each extruding towards the camera depending on the brightness of the pixel, and then a video can be played back with the business card owner being seen talking with a message about himself. Asus Eee T91 now Available – Costs $499

Asus-Eee-T91The Asus Eee T91 tablet PC has now been launched. The launch was mentioned on Twitter earlier which had a short URL link over to a Facebook page which contains all the technical specs and pricing details.

The Netbook Tablet has an 8.9″ gloss LED backlit WSVGA screen which has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It runs Windows XP Home edition and has an Intel Atom Z520 processor built in. [Read more…]

Asus Eee PC T101H Tablet Netbook Specs Revealed

asus_eee_pc_t101hAsus are launching the Eee PC tablet that’s numbered the T101H. The Eee T101H is a step up from the slightly smaller Asus Eee T91 in that it has a larger screen that measures 10.1 inches. The screen is LED backlit.

The new netbook is powered by an Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor and has 1GB of RAM (which can be bumped up to 2GB). It has a 16GB SSD as well as an included 16GB SD card and the touchscreen is resistive rather then capacitive. [Read more…]

New LG Chocolate with 21:9 Aspect Ratio

LG are soon to launch a new Chocolate phone. The original chocolate was a big hit with selling 21 million units worldwide.

The new LG Chocolate will fall in to LG’s Black Label series will be announced next month in August. Perhaps the most striking feature will be that the screen will have an aspect ratio of 21:9 with a resolution of 800 x 345 and measure just over 3 inches diagonally. iPod Video Around the Corner?

iPod-VideoA rumour is out and about today indicating that iPod’s might be getting embedded video cameras built in. TechCrunch report that a huge order of cheap $10 cameras have been ordered by Apple. Apple are expected to sell 20 million iPhones this year and about 3+ Million iPods/month. If Apple were to include cameras on their range of iPod’s then that 3+ Million per month would give the low end video market a run for it’s money. [Read more…]
