Contractor Hints at Sprint Installing Repeaters at Apple
A contractor has claimed that he has been asked to install a CDMA/3G and a WiMAX repeater within the Apple store in Austin. A repeater is a device that strengthens the signal of a network in a specific area. Normally, these are not installed within specific stores.
Sprint seems to be following on from what Verizon and AT&T has done in the past and that is, they could be preparing for a lot of iPhone traffic around the area within the next month or so.
iOS 5 and iCloud Training Begins at Apple Stores
Some screenshots posted by 9to5mac reveal that Apple has begin its iCloud and iOS 5 training for retail store employees. Although a release date of iOS 5 is not known just yet, the training details hint that iOS 5 and iCloud could be launching within the next few weeks.
Apple Fixture Installation at Best Buy Hints at iPhone 5 BB Release Date
A leaked shot of a Best Buy schedule has been found which shows that an “Apple Fixture Installation” will be happening on October 21 over at Best Buy. The installation will begin at 6am with the manager required to be onsite that morning. A typical installation, we have heard, does not require a manager to be there. Interestingly enough, the instructions also follow that of the iPhone 4 launch at Best Buy which could not be a hint as to when the iPhone 5 will be arriving, at Best Buy of course.
Final Cut Studio Goes Back on Sale at Apple
Apple has put the older version of Final Cut Studio back on sale due to what is believed to be a mixed reception to the new and redesigned version called Final Cut X. The older legacy version isn’t available through the App Store or online. Instead, you’ll need to call 800-MY-APPLE to get this version.
Apple Releases the iOS 5 Beta 7 OTA Update to Developers
Apple has rolled out its next beta version of iOS 5. This new version is Beta 7 is mainly a bug fix with it being this late on in the release schedule. There are a few new tweaks though such as the ability to set WiFi settings for iTunes sync which means you can now select which Mac you want your iOS 5 device to sync to if you have several options.

Apple has launched iTunes Match to developers. The service is available for those enrolled in the iOS developer program and can be activated with the latest iTunes 10.5 beta 6.1 download that was just made available.
JailbreakMe.com Hacker Comex Hired as Apple Intern
Comex, the guy behind the Jailbreakme.com website that jailbreaks some versions of iOS has announced on Twitter that he’ll be starting as an Intern at Apple in a couple of weeks time.
