Amazon is about to make available a new update for the Amazon Kindle. The new update brings a couple of relatively small updates to the software although each update is actually quite handy.
The new Kindle 3.1 update will be made available for download in a few days time and when launched it will allow Kindle users to use real page numbers on books. For those who use the Kindle, you’ll know that page numbers do not match the physical book which makes it awkward when referencing a Kindle whilst in a class for example. T-Mobile has announced the LG G-Slate. This particular tablet has an 8.9 inch screen and runs an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. The operating system that will run on the G-Slate is Android 3.0.
Pictures of the iPad 2 screen have leaked on to the Internet. What we see is a comparison between the iPad and the iPad 2 display. The new one is thinner by about 1mm and also has a slimmer bezel which should help shrink the iPad 2 down a little in size.

Apple [AAPL] has posted a job listing that requests a Verizon iPad System Engineer. The location is in Cupertino, as expected, and the job role requires someone who has a technical background in Exchange, VPN as well as other enterprise solutions.
On December 11 an event is happening called Angry Birds Day. At the moment, it is unclear exactly what the day will include, but some rumours are indicating that perhaps a console version of the game could be unveiled or that a movie is being made… perhaps even a Windows 7 version.
In an interesting interview with Pocket-Lint, HTC has indicated that if Windows Phone 7 and Android do not offer the freedom that HTC wants, they could look at other options. Those options could include HTC creating its own OS.
