DROID Incredible Specs now Official

Verizon [VZ] have published the official specs for the DROID Incredible by HTC on their website.

The specs are as we expected in that it has a 3.7 inch OLED touchscreen that can display a 480×800 resolution (WVGA). The camera on the back is capable of capturing in 8 megapixels. HTC Incredible Specs Revealed

BGR managed to get their hands on the full spec sheet for the HTC Incredible. Notable features include a 3.7 inch OLED capacitive touchscreen that has a WVGA resolution. Inside is a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The HTC Incredible has 8GB of internal memory and a memory card slot capable of taking up to a 32GB microSD card. For connectivity the Incredible has 802.11b/g/n along with Bluetooth. It functions on a dual band EVDO Rev.A network.

Nokia C3, C6 and E5 Unveiled

Nokia [NOK] have announced the launch of three new phones. These are the Noika C3, Nokia C6 and the Nokia E5. Each of the new handsets features a QWERTY keyboard with two of them looking similar to Blackberry devices and the other having a QWERTY keyboard that slides out to the side in landscape mode.

“Our messaging device range is very successful,” said Anssi Vanjoki, Nokia’s Head of Markets. “Services that provide easy access to the world’s consumer and corporate email and instant messaging are really popular on our QWERTY smartphones such as the Nokia E71 and Nokia E63. People want the best messaging and social networking experience on an affordable device, whether it’s sending a simple text or instant message, an email, or a direct message from their Twitter account. The Nokia C3, Nokia C6 and Nokia E5 are made for just that.”

Samsung Galaxy i9000 Android 2.1 Smartphone Announced

The Samsung Galaxy i9000 has been announced. The new smartphone when launched will run the Android 2.1 operating system, feature Samsung’s own Super AMOLED screen in a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels that measures 4 inches. The Samsung Galaxy will also run a 1GHz processor to keep things running smoothly.

The new Galaxy is what Samsung are aiming to be their flagship smartphone to tackle the likes of the Google [GOOG] Nexus One and the Motorola DROID in terms of features and an almost matching operating system (still waiting for that DROID 2.1 update).

Feature include assisted GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0 as well as wireless connectivity that sees the phone connecting to wireless 802.11b/g and n networks. Storage capacity can be increased by utilising the built in microSD card slot. Standard storage is optional at 8GB or 16GB with the microSD card slot allowing a further 32GB of data to be stored which provides quite a bit of space for music, photos and video to be stored. Samsung YP-R0 Portable Multimedia Player Announced

Samsung-R0-Media-PlayerSamsung have announced the launch of a new portable multimedia player called the Samsung YP-R0. The device has a 2.6 inch colour LCD screen and comes with either 4GB or 8GB of storage depending on the model you choose. By using a microSDHC memory card the storage can be increased by a further 16GB.

Also to be found inside the Samsung R0 is an FM radio, various codec support for video formats including DivX, XviD and H.264 along with the usual photo and video viewing software. [Read more…]

This tiny Micro SDHC memory card can cram 12GB of data on to it. That is actually quite incredible. For those who thought they were cool sporting the slightly older 8Gb versions you now need to sell them on eBay and get one of these.

Unfortunately there is no info on pricing yet, but in good old computer ways the 8Gb are surely going to drop in price to make way for the 12Gb big brother.
