Casio EXILIM EX-H15 Announced

Casio recently announced their latest point and shoot camera called the Casion EXILIM EX-H15. The EX-H15 is designed to make it easier to share photos with others. The camera has a 14.1 megapixel sensor and a lens that has a 24mm wide-angle with an optical zoom up to 10X.

On the back of the camera is a 3 inch Super Clear LCD screen that can display 460,000 pixels. Image stabilization is built in to the EX-H15 and a decent battery that sees it capture 1,000 images on a single charge.

The camera uses Casio’s EXILIM Engine 5.0 that increase image processing speed by 30% and enabled advanced colour reproduction as well as rich tonal gradation by getting rid of noise with high sensitivity set.

A system on the camera called Advanced Dynamic Photo is also included that allows users to cut moving subjects from a background and place them on another still image. Other cutting and pasting can be done from moving image to moving image to move objects around if needed. Casio describe this feature as being fun for users to share photos with each other.

Pre-loaded software on the EX-H15 allows quick uploads to YouTube to be accomplished, or images to easily be uploaded to a blog if needed.

Other features include Premium Auto that analyses a scene for different light such as night time, blue sky, trees, sun and also detects if faces are within the picture. Settings are then automatically adjusted to compensate and get the best picture that can be captured automatically. Also Art Shot Function is included that allows images to be transformed to give the look of a painting, crayon drawing, watercolour etc…

When launched the camera will cost £249 in the UK.
