This Lego aircraft carrier is the largest Lego model I have seen. It is built with over 200000 individual bricks and was built by Malle Hawking. It weighs over 350 pounds and has working elevators, a hangar, radar dishes and even electrical lights. By far the best idea is the catapult which can be used to launch the Lego Jets. If you could think of 1 transformer who should be created in to an MP3 player then it is Soundwave. Soundwave is one of the Decepticons (baddies) who is one of the original transformers. He now has been transformed in to an MP3 player costing $100. It isnt a bad price for the novelty idea. It has an SD card slot, headphone jack and regular music controls. Unfortunately it is not available in the UK or US and is only around in Japan. This doesnt stop you importing one though 😉

For those fans of the series Lost on Sky you will be familiar with the Dharma Initiative which is some underground bunker which has a countdown from 108 minutes. Its purpose is to test you and make sure you enter the numbers 4 8 15 16 23 42 in to the computer to prevent disaster. The Lost Widget is a spin off of this which you install on to your Windows or Mac OS desktop and basically every 108 minutes your PC is threatened to die unless you enter the numbers above. Ok, I doubt any damage will be done if you dont… but it is just a bit of fun.

For those who prefer to travel sideways, you have a few options such as a bus, skateboard or tram. The sideways bike is now another option which allows you to ride sideways. Instead of trying to keep your balance from left to right, you now need to balance back to front. It sounds like a difficult task. To add to this complexity, each of the wheels is independently steered which means you can steer from the back (or left) or steer from the front (or right). This allows you to go more then sideways, and allows you to go front ways, diagonal ways and any other ways you can think of.
All I can tell you is that I wouldnt want to fall off this thing, and looking at the bike I can assume I would be off it with in seconds of starting. It is still kind of a funky idea though.

Waking up is tough, but with a Jigsaw alarm clock you need to solve the jigsaw before the alarm will stop. To make it harder, the second the alarm sounds the jigsaw pieces are shot in the air across the bedroom. Your task is to then find them and then solve the puzzle which will then shut the alarm clock up.
I have to say that this is one of the most creative ways of getting someone out of bed, besides the cold water way.
If you are used to using a remote control and get devastated when it isnt with in arms reach of you, then this next invention could be for you. It is a box which allows you to control the TV by waving your hand at it. It can control your DVD player, TV and any other device around the TV. A total of 8 gadgets can be controlled by using seven simple hand gestures.
Although it adds to the laziness of the remote control, at least you can never loose the remote control any more because it is not needed. My only thought on this device is what happens when you eat or move, does it know when you are signalling the device or when you are just waving at someone.
The All Seeing Wave Controller was created by two engineers named Dr Prashan Premaratne and Quang Ngyuyen who are based in Australia. Both believe that the remote control wave controller will be on sale in 3 years time.

For those who spend hours at their PC, the latest and crazy USB gadgets are built just for you. USB devices such as grills and freezers have been built. The next in line is the USB fondue set which allows you to heat up your chocolate and melt it in to liquid with out having to leave your PC. Its real name is the Fundue.
In the box you get 1 Fundue pot with a blue LED regulated heating element. A fundue base with oil guard technology which also has an LCD screen with control panel. You get a blue FureGlow USB device cable and also forks which can be used to play around with the chocolate.
When using the device all the details are put on to screen to help you become even more lazy. The only thing that could top this is a USB chocolate fountain.

The transformer mobile phone concept comes from Parkoz Hardware. The video which can be found over at Gizmodo shows the robot transforming and then blasting the parkoz logo in to the desk. I think you will probably agree that mini guns will not be included if it were real 😉

Belkin have introduced a cool wireless router which features a screen on the front of the device which can give feedback on various aspects of what is happening on the network. The first mode available is just a regular time and date feature. By clicking on one of the arrows on the front of the device you can then switch to different information pages such as the current broadband connection speed, info on currently connected wifi devices, connection speeds of each of the connected wireless devices, usage over the last 24 hours and guest access information. Overall there isnt too much else that you wouldnt find. I do admit that for those who sit by their wireless router, this information is very handy to have when trouble shooting a network issue as you can see who the bandwidth hogs are, or if there is a problem in general with your broadband connection. The N1 from Belkin is an 802.11n compliant device with 3×3 radio design along with wired gigabit ports. Due to the speed at which this N1 router runs, it is ideal for those who transfer a lot of data either wirelessly or wired through out their home. Set up it fairly straight forwards as it is with most routers.
When my current router is due to be replaced, I think I will be taking a closer look at the Belkin B1 vision wireless router.

The new slimmer PSP is due to be released September this year. Sony have not dropped the UMD and the screen is still the same size at 4.3 inches. However it is 30% lighter and 19% slimmer which is good news. Along with it shrinking a little in size some cool little features have been added. Load time has been improved for games and also there is a video output which you can hook your PSP up to a TV/projector. When playing games, music, or video you can push a button to toggle between the large or small screen. I am interested in seeing what quality of games are like on a large screen. Hopefully they look just as good as they do on the small screen.
The slim PSP will be available in 2 colours which are Piano Black and Ice Silver. The entertainment pack will include a 1GB memory stick duo, daxter (what ever that is), Family Guy collection and it will set you back $199.

DVDs are still going strong and still being worked on. The latest is an ultra thin DVD which measures just 0.092mm thick. It was created by Hitachi Maxell and is 1/13th the thickness of regular DVD media. However, the thin size does not mean less data stored. Full capacity is still at 4.7GB. The price of these ultra thin DVDs will be around $4 when they are made available. I am not sure why they need to be made this thin as DVDs and CDs seem to be just fine as they are. One thing I can think of is the ability to be able to store 13 times more DVDs in the same space as 1 DVD.
