Xmod - Music Beyond CD Quality

Creative have introduced Xmod. This is an external X-Fi device that improves digital music beyond CD quality. Xmod (the external X-Fi) meaning Xtreme Fidelity is the latest from Creative to hit the shelves.

The device is a small device about the size of a candy bar. It connects between stereo speakers and a misoc source such as a PC, MP3 player etc… What it does is upconverts the music during playback to the Xtreme Fidelity standard which is a very high quality 24-bit surround audio.

The device enhances low and high frequencies and improves the audio dynamics for cleaner and richer sound. The device is available from Creative for $79.99.
