More XBox Form Factors Could Launch

Microsoft [MSFT] boss Steve Ballmer recently spoke at the University of Washington on the topic of cloud computing. Mixed within the presentation were various other things which were spoken of in result to questions asked.

"In the case of the TV we've got both strategies. We actually have a TV implementation in some senses built into Windows," Ballmer said. "It works really well for small screen TVs that you might call a PC, but for that big screen device here's a piece of hardware that we build, there's no diversity. You get exactly the Xboxes that we build for you. We may have more form factors in the future that are designed for various price points and options, but we think it's going to [be] important."

Although there were no specifics given, the quote above certainly hints at more XBox form factors being made available. It isn't known what exactly that will entail, but it could possibly mean integration with other MS services and devices or perhaps integration with other products from other manufacturers. Recently a partnership was unveiled between Sky TV and MS and perhaps we could see integrations following that vein.

Lets see what MS are planning for this year! As soon as we hear more we'll certainly post it.

Wow! The Xbox is really phenomenal! I think it’s better to get an Xbox than getting a PS3. I think if I already have an Xbox, a PS3 is really an unnecessary thing to get. I think Xbox is the best! I’m so happy that there are new Xboxes available in the market! This is just too great! Great post!
