The HTC Touch Pro2 is a Windows Mobile device that you'd normally expect to be running Windows Mobile. The XDAndroid project was designed for Window Mobile devices to run Android. Pocket Now have tested by running Android on their Touch Pro2 device and the results are so far, quite amazing.
There are a few things that don't currently work which includes Bluetooth, GPS and a few other things, but generally it works well and allows Android to run quite smoothly on the device. Features that are seen working in the video Pocket Now created (embedded below) show calls being made, text messages being sent and received as well as the browser functioning with the data connection. All apps that were loaded on to it worked well although a couple were a little laggy, but not far from being fixed.
If you want Google Android on your Windows Mobile device then check out the list of instructions that have been gathered over at Pocket Now which covers the following phones.... Touch Pro2 (GSM and CDMA), Touch Diamond2/Pure, Touch HD, Touch Pro/Fuze (GSM), Touch Pro (CDMA) and the Touch Diamond on GSM and CDMA.
