Microsoft have announced that Windows Mobile 6.5 will be landing in stores on the 6th October. Win Mobile 6.5 is a big jump up from the previous versions of the operating system and aims to become more user friendly by dropping the need of using a stylus on the tiny icons and buttons of the past.
The facelift also has some speed improvements as well as a more functional web browser which was always a problem on previous versions.
The new operating system isn’t an iPhone clone though and has a heavy emphasis on productivity, customisation, work and play. Integration with the cloud is also available in Windows Mobile 6.5 and this allows you to sync your phone up to the internet so that any pictures taken are dumped online when needed so that you always have a good backup of your data available should your phone be lost or stolen.
If you are looking for a Windows Mobile phone anytime soon then I suggest holding off a month or so and picking up this OS instead as it’s a vast improvement.
