Who owns the iPhone anyway
December 18, 2006

So who was it who coined the term iPhone and said that Apple would be launching it soon? Well… there is a small problem. Apple does not actually own the iPhone trademark. It belongs to Cisco who registered it back in the 90s. They tradmarked little i big P hone (iPhone) and it seems that Cisco will be bringing out it’s own range of VoIP products.
For 180 dollars you can get the iPhone dual mode internet telephony kit for Skype CIT400 which looks the same as the Skype handset we wrote about recently. Announced along side this is the iPhone wireless-G phone for Skype WIP320 which is a SIP VoIP phone.
