A demo has been created by Vlad that shows WebGL being used on a Nokia N900 mobile phone. The idea of WebGL is to bring the same content that works on a desktop browser to a mobile browser and still function the same.
The WebGL functionality has been tested on Firefox for the desktop and is currently being tested on Firefox for mobiles as demonstrated in the video below. The Nokia N900 is one of the first phones that actually supports Firefox on a mobile device.
The video shows some fairly smooth scrolling of some 3D objects and looks like an interesting step forwards in bringing mobile devices closer to desktop devices.
