A tap (or faucet) isn’t the type of object associated with tech and gadgets. Normally you just switch them on and off to get a stream of water. Frattini have decided to tech the tap up by creating a web controlled faucet.
The faucet is just like any other in that it turns on and off and when on, water comes out in to the sink. The difference here is that you have more control over temperature. A nice sized touch screen allows you to set the temperature of the water so that it’s just right as you step in to the shower. If you have several of these faucets installed then they can be networked together so you can turn on the sink from the bath, or alternatively you can use Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable and control the flow of water and it’s temperature from your laptop.
I think the idea of being able to control temperature is cool, but controlling other taps and controlling them from a computer is just a bit odd. I guess if you want to run a bath then it might be nice switching it on with out leaving your arm chair though.
