Vodafone Reveal iPhone 4 UK Price – Starts at Free on £45/Month Contract

Update: It appears the prices were revealed on a test site rather than the live site and hence, they "might" change although they will likely stay the same.

After what seems like a lot of waiting (just a week) and a lot of speculation, Vodafone has revealed the iPhone 4 UK contract pricing for the new smartphone.

Vodafone has a number of price plans listed on the site along with a number of price plans that you can call up to find information on.

To get the iPhone 4 free (referring to the 16GB model here), you can sign up for either an 18 month or 24 month contract but will need to spend at least £50/month or £45/month respectively. The cheapest monthly free iPhone 4 plan will get you 1GB of data, 1200 minutes and unlimited text messages.

The cheapest monthly iPhone 4 plan is a 24 month contract at £25/month although the handset will set you back £189. Note that you only get 75 minutes and 250 text messages with that plan, so although it might be quite cheap per month, you might need to jump up a plan to get the minutes you need.

Other interesting things to note with the iPhone 4 UK price on Vodafone is that all plans are limited to 1GB which is a step up from O2 who offer 500MB on their smaller plans.

It isn't clear if the Vodafone page will stay up at the moment as when I checked a few minutes ago, other networks hadn't revealed prices. Also PAYG iPhone 4 is a dead page and clicking on the Select buttons on plans takes you to a dead page. We'll check back later to see if the errors have been fixed to give the full and final information from Vodafone.

You can see all the price plans here, but in case the pages get taken off line here are some screen grabs of the prices.

FYI, payg page is not dead, the server is probably busy and you need to hit refresh a few times before it loads. The Payg page currently reads tbc

All seems a bit flakey now. Can’t get to any pages although I have found out it is a test site we are looking at here.

they better bring it to PAYG. The O2 website makes it out to be the case.
