Visual Planet - Interactive Poster
March 25, 2007

While walking down the street you always see a number of posters in windows of shops showing the latest deals. These posters are for information only and do not offer any level of interactivity other then a possible phone number. Visual Planet has created the ViP Interactive Poster which allows interaction through the shop window via touch screen. The Interactive Poster is rear projected behind the glass on to high contrast diffusion screens. This means that vandalism cannot happen to the device at night as it is stuck behind the window, but still interactive. This opens up a number of revenue stream options for business and can allow sales to happen while the shop is closed. If you see a shop you like, then tap the screen on the shop window and you can browse products and view information. The possibilities are endless with this as the display technology can be configured how ever you want and run what ever programs you want.
The screens come in a number of sizes and also can be used in daylight. More details can be found at the links below.
