ViewSonic VCP08 Windows XP Smartphone

ViewSonic-VCP08-Windows-XP-PhoneThe ViewSonic VCP08 was first spotted just last month, but only as rendered images. Pocketables managed to find some pictures of the real phone which shows it running Windows XP. The VCP08 is a clamshell phone that has two screens with the first outside screen measuring 2 inches and an inner screen for XP measuring 4.3 inches.

As well as having the large inner screen the device also has a full QWERTY keypad along with a finger mouse.

Due to it having a couple of screens the device isn't small making phones like the Nokia N97 look tiny, so you really need to weigh up if you actually need a Windows XP device in your pocket.

The phone it's self runs an 800MHz Intel Atom processor and has 512Mb of RAM and 8GB of storage with expansion available by MicroSD cards. One main problem I can already see with the device is that it has a 1200mAH battery which surely will see the device need a recharge at least once a day, if not a couple of times if you need to use it. One thing that might help it is that the UMPC side of the phone can be shut down if needed allowing just the phone to function.
