Use your Nokia as a Remote Control

by Matthew on May 24, 2007

Bemused
Bemused is a piece of software that has been created for Nokia handsets that run the Symbian OS. The software allows you to take control of certain features on your PC/Laptop via Bluetooth connectivity. It makes a great simple remote control that can control more then just audio. It can take control of Windows media player, Win Amp and PowerPoint. If you like listening to music from your PC when not actually sitting in front of it, then this would be ideal so that you can skip tracks, mute, pause, rewind and more.

As well as doing the simple things listed above, it actually goes deeper in to things. It is capable of scanning your system and displaying the files and folders on your phone. It also can list all your music and video in alphabetical order while you sit down and relax. If you want to play a movie then attach your computer to a projector and take control of what you watch right from the phone. If your getting bored then just browse through your PC on your mobile and choose another film, or just skip the scene if you are bored.

For those of you who do PowerPoint presentations and do not have a remote control, then check this out also. It allows you to skip the frames and be free from standing near the computer while running the presentation.

I will be doing a review of this item over the weekend to see how it actually performs. Look out for it on Saturday!
