U-Blox is Galileo Ready

The latest U-Blox GPS chip is about to be unveiled. The U-Blox 5 chip will help to give more accurate GPS readings, work indoors and through busy cities. The chip its self takes less then 50mW which means it can easily be put in to a mobile phone and used for tracking purposes.

As well as being an excellent GPS chip getting more accuracy, the GPS chip is also Galileo ready which is a new network of satellites which started being launched in December of 2005. The Galileo network is run by Europe and will consist of 30 satelliets orbiting providing highly accurate tracking.
