TV TrickleSaver Cuts Energy Bills

The TrickleSaver is a gadget which cuts down the standby energy consumed by your TV and accessories. Inbuilt circuitry has the ability to check when your TV is on or off and when the TV is off, the TrickleSaver switches off all the accessories relating to your TV. Same works vice-versa in that when you switch the TV on, all your TV related accessories are also switched on.

What the TrickleSaver achieves is a cut in the wasted electricity of all the many products such as DVD players, PS3’s, Satellite TV boxes etc… have when left on standby.

The only downside is that the company recommend not using this on set-top boxes that use HDD to store data as you could suddenly cut power while the drive is still writing and cause problems.

Nice gadget, but the set-top box exclusion kinda takes some of the wind (and purpose) out of it.
